This workshop will discuss the Positive Communication efforts and Positive Affirmations around being Black.  Topics include:>  African Heritage, Courage/Achievements of African People, Strengths of Black Families, and Unique Black Customs/Language.  In this workshop we will also discuss how to avoid Black put downs and help children understand and cope with racism.

Terrance I Harris, M.Ed. has over 10 yhears experience as a Higher Ed professional along with 8 years experience as a peer educator, parent coach, and tobacco cessation specialist.  He instructs parenting courses for Linn & Benton Counties and is certified through the Effective Black Parenting Program.
