Active Parenting of Teens

This course is taught in Spanish

Learn and laugh with other parents as you turn the challenges of raising a teenager into opportunities for growth. You’ll learn positive ways to relate to your teen by increasing your knowledge of the developmental needs of adolescents, thereby better understanding their behavior.

Methods of respectful discipline, skills for clear, honest communication, concrete strategies to prevent risky behavior, and how to be an encouraging parent will be discussed.

This is a free 8-week class.

Child care vouchers are available for paying a family member, friend, or neighbor to care for younger children while you attend. Free dinner at 5:30 pm.

This class is offered in partnership with Jackson Street Youth Services, Linn-Benton Community College, and the Parenting Success Network.
