Change Makers, a Co Curricular Student group at LBCC would like to invite you to their event Dreaming of Inclusion on May 22nd, from 4:30-7:30pm. Change Makers is housed in the Education/ Human Development and Family Sciences (HDFS) Program. It is open to any student at LBCC however it currently comprises mainly Early Childhood Education and HDFS majors.
The goal of this event is to gather, dream and connect around our most basic human desire to be included and belong. This event will center disability and intersecting identities of race, ethnicity and gender. The event consists of community story sharing and screening of the “Forget me Not” documentary. Zina Allen, artist and Equity Activist will facilitate this event.
Food will be served and limited Childcare spots are available. English/ Spanish and ASL interpretation will be provided.
This event is a collaboration between Change Makers, Periwinkle Child Development Center, Accessibility Resources and LBL Health Equity Alliance. Please share with your students, peers and networks. Let us know if you have any questions.
