Workshop for Black Dads with Children of all ages (Online) 5-7 pm

Choose to attend one or both of our workshops focus on supporting Black Dads with children of all ages:
  1. From Boys to Men: Keys to Effective Fatherhood- This workshop will discuss positive communication efforts to help young and/or new fathers especially to those of Black and brown children. Topics will include courage and achievements, growing pains, strengths of Black and brown families, releasing past hurt, and understand and cope with racism.
  2. It’s Okay to Say, “I Love You”– This workshop will discuss showing positive affection to your children through teenage and adult years. Topics will include toxic masculinity, effective communication, celebrating wins, self-love, and meeting your child where they are.

*  Virtually via Zoom (link info will be shared at registration)

*  May 23rd at 5-7pm- From Boys to Men: Keys to Effective Fatherhood
*  June 27th at 5-7pm- It’s Okay to Say, “I Love You”
*  Limited amount of iPads/hotspots available for loan
*  FREE for dads with children of all ages
*  Support for Black and African American dads and Adoptive/fostering fathers of Black children or         children of African descent of all ages
*  Available for dads residing in Oregon
*  This workshop is only available in English.About the presenter: Terrance I Harris, M.Ed has over 10 years experience as a Higher Ed professional along with 8 years experience as a peer educator, parent coach, and tobacco cessation specialist. He instructs parenting courses for Linn, Benton, and Lincoln Counties and is certified through the Effective Black Parenting program.For questions or registration:
